What to bring on Safari

Although the dhows have plenty of storage capacity we request that clients pack their luggage in soft holdalls rather than large suitcases.

Items to bring include sunblock, hat, torch and mosquito repellent. A waterproof jacket and warm clothing in the winter months is advised.

If you use corrective lenses and wish to snokel, please bring you own mask. The islands are a malaria area, so take adequate precautions. The Vilankulo hospital can analyse and treat malaria efficiently. Any valuables that you might want to leave behind can be safely stored at our mainland base until your return. Sailaway has secure parking for vehicles.
